Our project send to you, the wonderful four seasons nature in Lapland Jokkmokkguiderna is a small company owned and run by Matti Holmgren and Stina Svensson. We live in Jokkmokk, the small village just north from the Arctic Circle, with a bunch of sleddogs and a passion for the outdoors. Jokkmokk parish was created in 1607 from Luleå parish. The parish of Kvikkjokk was created from Jokkmokk in 1696. Gällivare was created from Jokkmokk in 1742. Kvikkjokks parish was combined with Jokkmokk in 1923. Jokkmokk is an important locality for Sámi people and the location of several institutions related to them, including an education centre, the Ájtte museum, and an office of the Sámi Parliament of Sweden.
